A total of 100 students completed their professional internships at the island Cabildo, as well as in local councils, companies, and other entities, from 9 July to 29 August, thanks to the Practical Training Scholarship Programme of the Ministry of Education. This edition was notable for including students from blended and distance learning courses, allowing them for the first time to apply for these scholarships, aiming to create equal opportunities across all study modalities and to apply what they have learned.

To conclude this cycle, training sessions were held on 27, 28, and 29 August to provide participants with the necessary tools for their integration into the job market.

The finale featured a workshop on psychological strategies for job searching and entrepreneurship, led by psychologist Nayara Ortega. During the session, key aspects such as self-awareness, social skills, and emotional management were addressed.

The President of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, Lola García, stated, “We will continue to work to expand these opportunities, to listen to their voices, and to ensure they feel there is space for growth and development here, in their homeland.”

Furthermore, the Youth Councillor, Adargoma Hernández, noted, “From the Youth department, we want to remain that bridge between education and the labour market, as well as a space for listening, support, and guidance.”

Present at the closing event were the island’s president, Lola García, and Youth Councillor, Adargoma Hernández.
