Serious Condition for Woman after Incident at Teide Parador
SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 12 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 56-year-old woman is in a serious condition after experiencing dizziness at the Teide Parador.
Emergency Response
The incident occurred shortly after midday when an alert was received by the Emergency Coordination Centre (CECOES) 112 of the Canary Islands Government, reporting that a woman in the reception area required medical assistance due to her dizziness.
Members of the Immediate Response Team for Emergencies (ERIE) from the Spanish Red Cross, activated by the Tenerife Fire Consortium, provided initial assistance to the affected woman, who was experiencing health issues.
Medical Evacuation
Subsequently, staff from the Canary Islands Urgent Care Service (SUC) conducted an assessment and provided further assistance. Once stabilised, she was airlifted in a medical helicopter, which landed in the El Portillo area, and transported to the helipad of the University Hospital of the Canary Islands in serious condition.
