The programme of the San Ginés Festival 2025 enters a particularly dynamic weekend with two major proposals aimed at young people and the general public: the talent show Tierra con Talento and the urban dance intensive San Ginés Xperience Dance Edition. Both initiatives, promoted by the Youth Department of the Arrecife City Council, are presented as two of the central activities in the final stretch of the patron celebrations.

On Sunday 17th August, starting at 20:00 hours, the main stage of the festival will host the second edition of Tierra con Talento, an artistic contest that has gathered 13 participants from different parts of the Archipelago. The event has established itself as an open space for creative diversity and, this year, has taken a leap in format after the success achieved in 2024 with Dance On.

The contestants will display their skills in various disciplines: singing, dancing, gymnastics, acrobatics, pole dancing, figure skating, humour, magic, and instrumental music. The direction and presentation of the gala will be in the hands of Carmen Nieves Pérez, and the evening will also feature performances by nationally and internationally renowned guest artists. Among them are singer Keisy, with a long career in musicals in Madrid; soprano Belén Elvira, known for her participation in Got Talent and currently on tour; and singer-songwriter Neo Pinto, with a pop-latin style influenced by urban trends.

The jury, composed of seven professionals from the world of entertainment and performing arts, will evaluate technique, originality, staging, and connection with the audience. The prizes amount to 600 euros for the first place, 400 for the second, and 200 for the third.

The Councillor for Youth, Rosmen Quevedo, explained that “after the success of the first edition, we wanted to open the show to more disciplines, so that any talent from our islands can showcase their art.” For his part, the Deputy Mayor and Head of Festivals, Echedey Eugenio, highlighted that the event reflects “the participatory and cultural spirit that characterises San Ginés.”

In parallel, this same weekend Arrecife will experience the Xperience Dance Edition, an intensive urban dance gathering that will bring together more than 130 participants. The event, organised by Xtreme Up Dance and Productions along with the Youth Department and the Youth Directorate of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, will take place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th August at the Argana Baja Sociocultural Centre and at the Ramírez Cerdá Park.

The programme includes practical workshops conducted by renowned dancers and choreographers, both local and national. Figures such as David Vélez, Felipe Pérez, Javi Berga, Dembel, Yaiza Espigares, Daniel de La Rosa, Haco & Jenni, Zaida & Mery, Sifer, Sergio Poveda, and Shaki will lead various training sessions.

On Saturday, two blocks of workshops will be held in the morning and afternoon at the CSC of Argana Baja. On Sunday, the programme will continue in the same space during the morning and, in the afternoon, the gathering will move to the Ramírez Cerdá Park, in the heart of the capital, where an outdoor workshop open to the public will take place.

According to the councillor Rosmen Quevedo, the main objective of the Xperience Dance Edition is “to foster the urban dance community on the island, to showcase local talent, and to provide a space for exchange with professionals coming from other islands and the mainland.” The enthusiastic reception has been reflected in the rapid selling out of spots.

Both Tierra con Talento and the Xperience Dance Edition are part of a municipal strategy to strengthen the youth dimension of the San Ginés Festival. The two activities offer a stage for artistic expression and learning, with proposals aimed at attracting young people, families, and visitors.
