Thousands of people gathered at the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente park for an evening filled with the humour of Maestro Florido, where music and creative talent shone brightly with the original creations designed for the occasion.
The Night of the Hat Dance during the San Bartolomé Festivities was once again a success in terms of participation, drawing in thousands for one of the most entertaining activities organised by the San Bartolomé Town Council through the Celebrations department.
This event, set within the 2025 Patronal Festivities of San Bartolomé, took place in the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente park. The evening combined humour, a great atmosphere, and music perfectly during a day that attracts an ever-increasing number of attendees in the August festive calendar in Lanzarote.
Creatives crafted original hats and designs, incorporating nods to current events and local reality. Not only residents of the municipality participated but also people from different parts of Lanzarote, who eagerly joined in.
The Mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, stated that “The Night of the Hat is now a well-established and highly anticipated date in our festivities. The large turnout demonstrates the interest this event fosters in participation.”
Thus, the evening of Thursday, 14 August, began with a Night of Humour featuring comedian Maestro Florido, followed by the Hat Dance, where local residents presented their creations, which were awarded in both individual and group categories. The musical finale was provided by Nueva Stella, Los Conejeros, and Mambo Latino.
The Councillor for Celebrations, Estefanía Luzardo, noted that “each year this event continues to grow, and the public’s response and broad participation demonstrate the success of initiatives that encourage us to keep investing in a varied programme.”
The patronal festivities will continue this weekend with two notable events: on Saturday 16 August, the Popular Romería will take place, and on Sunday 17 August, the Day of the Tapa, which will bring together locals and visitors around local cuisine.
