Officers from the National Police had to assist a woman perched on a high-voltage electricity tower located on Virgen del Pilar street in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria last Wednesday, 13th August.

This was reported by the Chief Superintendent of Police in the Canary Islands, who added that the operation took place after officers received an alert from the CIMACC-091 control room.

Upon arrival at the scene, the police confirmed the presence of a woman on the electrical infrastructure, prompting them to establish a security operation. They accessed the area and engaged in conversation with the individual, ultimately persuading her to come down safely.

Once on the ground, the woman was escorted by officers to an ambulance, which took her to the Doctor Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria, where she was admitted pending medical evaluation.
