TLP Tenerife 2025 Generates an Impact of €1.8 Million and 600 Jobs

The President of the Cabildo, Rosa Dávila, Highlights “the Consolidation of an Event that Also Stands Out for its Educational and Professional Aspect”

TLP Tenerife 2026 Will Take Place from 14 to 19 July

TLP Tenerife 2025 generated an impact of €1.8 million during its celebration, which took place at the Tenerife Exhibition Centre from 15 to 20 July. The technology and entertainment event, sponsored by the Insular Council of Tenerife through the Tenerife Scientific and Technological Park (PCTT), received over 70,000 visitors and generated 75.2 million impressions, setting a record.

The President of the Cabildo, Rosa Dávila, emphasises the consolidation “of an event that also stands out for its educational and professional aspects. Thanks to the inaugural edition of the TLP Indie Awards, we welcomed 38 national and international studios who participated in various networking sessions alongside the staff from the Tenerife Scientific and Technological Park.”

The event’s internal economy generated nearly €1 million over six days, along with a positive impact on the economy of around 200 businesses, mostly microenterprises and SMEs in the area. “These are positive figures that speak to the event’s significance for Tenerife and particularly for Santa Cruz.”

TLP Tenerife 2025 featured over 200 activities attended by thousands of fans of video games, anime, comics, K-Pop, cosplay, crafts, influencers, and Japanese culture, as well as a LAN Party. Additionally, workshops, talks, and meetings among industry professionals were held, addressing future challenges.

The Councillor for Innovation, Research and Development, Juan José Martínez, highlights the attendance of 70,000 people, making TLP Tenerife the second largest event in the country in terms of visitor numbers: “Returning to the original dates in mid-July was crucial, as attendees were accustomed to it. Moreover, we made significant efforts this year regarding the design of the stages, the layout of different areas, and the presence of top-tier professionals, all of which contributed to the high quality of the event.”

Employment and Youth

TLP Tenerife 2025 facilitated the direct hiring of 143 young people, in addition to 448 indirect jobs. The average age of the workforce was 25, with a nearly equal distribution of 51% men and 49% women hired. Furthermore, the staff included 10% individuals with functional diversity, who joined the project through the DiSAFÍO programme of the Tenerife Sports Club Foundation.

The Director of TLP Tenerife, Idaira Febles, explains that “this is more than just a video game event: it serves as the first job opportunity for many young people from the island and often serves as their first contact with their future profession.” Febles expressed excitement for the upcoming edition to be held from 14 to 19 July 2026: “The twentieth anniversary is both a challenge and a motivation to work even harder. We are already developing many ideas to ensure a great TLP Tenerife.”
