The Town Hall of Puerto del Rosario has announced the reactivation of four fountains within the municipality. This comes after repair and maintenance work was conducted in compliance with the requirements issued by the health inspector for the Fuerteventura area.

The aim of these actions has been to improve the conservation state of these urban features. Furthermore, they ensure their proper functionality and guarantee the necessary hygiene and sanitary conditions for public use.

The fountains have undergone cleaning, enhancements to the hydraulic system, anti-lime treatment, and structural repairs, allowing for their reactivation after a period of inactivity.

From the Parks and Gardens Department of Puerto del Rosario, there is a reaffirmed commitment to enhancing the urban environment. This also involves valuing public spaces, contributing to the well-being of residents and presenting a more polished image of the capital.

The Town Hall expresses gratitude for the community’s cooperation throughout these works and encourages both residents and visitors to use these facilities responsibly.

The Mayor of Puerto del Rosario, David de Vera, highlighted the importance of this initiative. “The recovery of these ornamental fountains is another demonstration of our effort to beautify the city. It also shows our commitment to ensuring that every corner of the municipality is in optimal condition for the enjoyment of residents. Caring for public spaces is also caring for the quality of life of our citizens.”

Meanwhile, the Councillor for Parks and Gardens, Erica González, stated, “With this intervention, we are not only recovering elements that are part of our urban landscape but also reinforcing our commitment to the continuous maintenance of the municipality’s parks and gardens. We want Puerto del Rosario to remain a welcoming, clean, and well-maintained capital for all.”
