Teguey and Bohemia Lanzarote Provide the Soundtrack at Parque Ramírez Cerdá – Lanzarote News

The Arrecife City Council’s Department of Festivities, led by Deputy Mayor Echedey Eugenio, hosted an emotional concert on the evening of Tuesday, 19th, at Parque Ramírez Cerdá. This event formed part of the 2025 San Ginés Festival programme, bringing together locals and visitors to celebrate the music and traditions of the Canary Islands.

The first half of the show was performed by Agrupación de Música Popular Teguey, who delivered a heartfelt performance with their show “Voces de Ellas, Alma de Ellos”. The ensemble highlighted the voices of Almudena Hernández, Lucía Queiruga, and Lourdes Guadalupe, alongside the collaboration of the Cultural Association of Traditional Dances Altaja. They interpreted fundamental pieces of Canarian folklore, such as the isa, folías, malagueña, and seguidillas, in addition to showcasing original compositions including Ico, Risco de Famara, Donde te conocí, Jardín de Leyenda, and Este es mi pueblo.

Second Part: Grupo Musical Bohemia Lanzarote

The second half featured the Musical Group Bohemia Lanzarote, who presented their latest album “Huellas”, offering contemporary interpretations of Canarian folklore while preserving its traditional essence. The ambitious project involved renowned Venezuelan artist and Latin Grammy winner Luis Fernando Borjas, produced by multi-instrumentalist Dani Barón, with mixing done between London and Mexico City.

The group aims to promote “Huellas” with hopes of applying for the Latin Grammy 2026 in the Best Folk Album category.
