Puerto del Rosario Revives Ornamental Fountains

Puerto del Rosario Restores Four Ornamental Fountains After Repairs

The Puerto del Rosario Council has once again brought four ornamental fountains back into operation after conducting repairs and refurbishments mandated by the Fuerteventura Health Area inspection. This initiative aimed to enhance the preservation of these installations, ensure their proper functioning, and guarantee the necessary hygiene and health standards.

The work included cleaning, improvements to the hydraulic system, application of anti-lime treatments, and repairs to structural elements, successfully reactivating fountains that had been inactive for some time.

Commitment to Urban Maintenance

These interventions by the Parks and Gardens Department are part of the council’s commitment to maintaining urban surroundings and enhancing public spaces, contributing to the well-being of citizens and fostering a more aesthetically pleasing image of the capital, as noted in a statement from the council.

Statements from Local Officials

David de Vera, the Mayor of Puerto del Rosario, remarked that “the revival of these ornamental fountains is yet another testament to our efforts to beautify the city and ensure that every corner of the municipality is in optimal condition for the enjoyment of residents.”

Meanwhile, Erica González, the Councillor for Parks and Gardens, added that “with this intervention, we not only restore elements that are part of our urban landscape but also reinforce our commitment to the ongoing maintenance of the municipality’s parks and gardens.”
