A 22-year-old woman sustained several serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle on the night of Tuesday, 19th August, on Germany Street in the municipality of Adeje. The incident occurred at 23:55 and prompted the mobilization of emergency services across the archipelago.
The Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government immediately activated the necessary resources, which included a medical ambulance, a basic life support ambulance, and the Local Police, who are responsible for conducting the relevant inquiries.
The Canary Emergency Service (SUC) reported that the woman was treated at the scene by medical personnel before being transported by a medical ambulance to the University Hospital of Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria.
In the same incident, a 20-year-old man sustained minor injuries and was evacuated to the Southern Hospital.
