Smoke Inhalation Incident in Santa Cruz de Tenerife
A 62-year-old woman and three minors have suffered smoke inhalation after a kitchen fire broke out in a residence in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (Cecoes) 112 on Friday.
Details of the Incident
The fire occurred in a first-floor flat in a four-storey building on Almirante Díaz Pimienta Street in the capital of Tenerife.
Emergency Response
Upon arrival, firefighters worked to extinguish the flames in the kitchen and ventilated the property.
Casualties and Medical Response
Additionally, the Canary Island Emergency Service deployed two ambulances to provide initial assistance to those affected. The 62-year-old woman had moderate smoke inhalation, while a 14-year-old boy and two 10-year-olds suffered mild intoxication. All were transported to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria.
Police Investigation
Local police officers were responsible for conducting the necessary inquiries and, alongside the National Police and Civil Protection, assisted in managing the situation with other resources that were deployed.
