Vice President and Tourism Councillor of the island institution, Lope Afonso, and the Chief Executive of Tenerife Tourism, Dimple Melwani, visited this space this morning (Friday 22), which has undergone renovations costing over €80,000

This morning (Friday 22), the Vice President of the Cabildo and Councillor for Tourism, Lope Afonso, visited the renovated tourist information office at the North Airport, part of the Tenerife Tourist Office Network, INFOTEN.
Afonso, who was accompanied by the Chief Executive of Tenerife Tourism, Dimple Melwani, emphasised during the visit the importance of the island’s network of tourist offices, which are emerging as a unique showcase for Tenerife, providing relevant information to visitors during their stay.
The Vice President highlighted “the important role these offices play in the establishment of Tenerife’s prestige as a tourist destination, as they directly contribute to creating a positive impact on the experience of those who choose our island for their holidays, ensuring that Tenerife is an unforgettable experience for them.”
The renovation of this office, along with its equipment, required an investment of over €83,000.
Regarding the work, the Chief Executive of Tenerife Tourism, Dimple Melwani, provided details of the project, which focused on aligning with the design, corporate, and architectural criteria of the INFOTEN Network. She highlighted that “we have also emphasised equipping the new offices with state-of-the-art technological infrastructure.”
Melwani stated, “Our goal is to have an open resource that is integrated with its environment and accessible for both staff and users, so we can provide the best possible service.”
She announced that “soon, we will hold a meeting with all staff from the INFOTEN Network, with the aim of updating destination news and establishing a coordinated work roadmap for 2026.”
