Tragic Drowning Incident Claims Life of 30-Year-Old in Yaiza

A 30-year-old man has tragically died after drowning in the Los Charcones area of Yaiza on Sunday afternoon.

According to information provided by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre, they were alerted at 5:33 PM that a person was being pulled from the water showing signs of drowning and was in cardiac arrest. The 1-1-2 service immediately dispatched a medical ambulance, a basic life support ambulance, local police, and the Civil Guard. While the medical teams were en route, they began performing basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) manoeuvres, which were continued by SUC medical personnel using advanced techniques. Unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful, and his death was confirmed. The police officials are responsible for conducting the necessary investigations.
