In the heart of Aguere and with the support and affection of numerous fans, La Laguna Tenerife officially presented their Austral Sport kits for the 2025/26 season on Thursday evening.
The event took place against the backdrop of La Laguna Town Hall, in a specially arranged setting facing Plaza del Adelantado. It revealed the new attire for the aurinegro team, inspired this time by the historic map of Leonardo Torriani, the oldest known document of the city.
Key Attendees
The mayor, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, and the president of the club, Aniano Cabrera, were the hosts of an event that also saw the presence of Fernando Clavijo, President of the Government of the Canary Islands, and Yolanda Moliné, Councillor for Sports of the Tenerife Island Council.
Representatives from various companies featured on the official kits of the Tenerife representatives in the ACB League and the Basketball Champions League (BCL) were also in attendance. Notable attendees included Paloma Leis, Territorial Director of Canarias for Grupo Hospiten, and Sergio Cabrera, a representative from CICAR Overcame.
Fan Engagement
The event received a warm reception from the fans, who enjoyed videos unveiling the new kit, which was also modelled on-site by first-team players Kostas Kostadinov and Héctor Alderete.
The evening featured a delightful opening with the pasodoble Islas Canarias, performed by saxophonist Marcos Pérez, and a spectacular closing act with singer St. Pedro, a finalist in the Benidorm Festival, which selected Spain’s representative for Eurovision 2024, all contributing to a celebration in the aurinegro theme for the enjoyment of the Canarias family.
