The Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Mobility of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Canary Islands Housing Institute (ICAVI), has approved the execution of a project aimed at energy rehabilitation and improving accessibility for 108 social housing units in the Los Menceyes neighbourhood of Candelaria, Tenerife.

This housing project is part of a broader plan that includes the drafting of plans for a total of five groups of public properties in the provinces of Las Palmas and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, specifically in the municipalities of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Telde, Candelaria, Adeje, and El Rosario.

The works, which have a budget of €5,518,031.27, are financed by the European funds from Next Generation EU and form part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Government of Spain.

The rehabilitation project will encompass subprojects involving low-voltage electrical installations, plumbing, thermal installations, as well as safety and health studies, in addition to overseeing both the main project and the associated subprojects.
