Laughter will be part of the Los Dolores festivities, with comedian Yanely Hernández and Guarapo Gomero performing on Thursday, September 11, coinciding with “Children’s Day” and offering affordable prices at the Fairground, along with children’s karaoke and a tribute to Joaquín Sabina.

On Friday, September 12, the much-anticipated Nanino Díaz Cutilla Folk Meeting will return for its 35th edition, featuring the Arrecife Choir and Dance Group, Beatriz Alonso and Javier Cerpa from Gran Canaria, Víctor Estárico from Fuerteventura, Almudena Hernández from La Graciosa, the “Los Arrieros” group from La Palma, Candelaria Gorrín and Juanma Benítez from El Hierro, Juan Mesa and Tetrabaifo from La Gomera, and Calicanto from Lanzarote, all presented by Yeray Rodríguez.

On Saturday, September 13, offerings will be made to Our Lady of Los Dolores, followed by the traditional Baile del Romero.

On September 14, festival-goers can look forward to a major concert featuring singer Vanesa Martín. This performance will begin at 21:00, leading into a popular dance party with orchestras Grupo Bomba and Banda Nueva.

Monday, September 15, will also be special as a solemn Eucharist will take place at 11:00, presided over by Monsignor José Mazuelos Pérez. The Craft Fair will conclude, and at 18:30, attendees can enjoy the concert “Balada de Sabanda,” featuring Los Sabandeños, Olga Cerpa, and Mestisay, followed by a performance at 21:00 by Lanzarote singer Rosana Arbelo.

The Councillor for Festivals, Jonathan Pérez Olivero, and the Mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, have invited “all citizens of Lanzarote and the other Canary Islands, as well as those coming from other parts of the country, to enjoy these festivities in honour of the island’s patron saint.”

“Once again, we offer a varied and comprehensive programme to ensure that all attendees enjoy these festivities in the Mancha Blanca area, showcasing our best tradition.”

In conclusion, they expressed gratitude to Tinajo’s parish priest, Francisco José García, for his dedication, commitment, and love for the patron saint. They hope that these festivities will unfold peacefully, and that the pilgrimage will be a joyful occasion for everyone, as Our Lady of Los Dolores is the patroness for the entire island. “We wish that these celebrations, and all the joy they bring, create smiles on the faces and in the hearts of our Mother, the Virgen de Los Dolores. Enjoy the festivities. Long live Our Lady of Los Dolores,” they stated.
