Medical Emergency on Jet2 Flight from Liverpool to Lanzarote
A passenger on Jet2 flight LS3201, which connected Liverpool to Lanzarote, required medical assistance upon landing at the island’s airport on 4th September after experiencing convulsions during the flight, as reported by Air Traffic Controllers on their X profile.
Emergency Response
As the aircraft approached Lanzarote, the crew notified the control tower about the situation concerning a passenger who was suffering convulsions and needed urgent medical attention.
Subsequently, the Enaire control centre shortened the approach to the aircraft as much as possible and allowed them to maintain a high speed. Additionally, they rerouted air traffic ahead to expedite the manoeuvre.
Coordination with Ground Services
During the approach, the control tower coordinated with the airport to ensure medical assistance on the ground was prepared for the passenger’s arrival.
