Santa Cruz de Tenerife, through the Society of Development, has launched a new free consultancy service called Point of Sale Diagnosis.

This was announced by the Mayor of the capital, José Bermúdez, who explained that “this new service will be provided by the Society of Development as part of the Transformation Plan for the Commerce of the Rambla and Salamanca Commercial Areas.”

Support for Small and Medium Enterprises

In this context, Bermúdez noted that “this initiative is one of several actions framed within the grants aimed at the transformation of the commercial sector in Canarias, with the objective of turning Canarias into a Smart Commercial Destination. This action is co-financed by the European Union under the FEDER Canarias 2021-2027 Programme.” He added that “specifically, the Point of Sale Diagnosis service aims to advise 120 small and medium-sized enterprises and self-employed individuals within the commercial sector located in the Rambla and Salamanca commercial areas.”

Additionally, Bermúdez pointed out that “exceptionally, businesses from the surrounding areas or nearby zones may also be included,” and mentioned that “through this initiative, we aim to enhance the competitiveness of local commerce by providing a tailored diagnosis that identifies strengths and areas for improvement in the commercial zones of Rambla and the Salamanca neighbourhood.”

“This is a firm commitment to support small businesses, to integrate sustainable practices, and to promote digitalisation while enhancing their competitiveness,” indicated Bermúdez, who added that “this project will enable businesses to benefit from specialised support in key areas, with the aim of aiding the commercial sector in adapting to new consumer habits and strengthening Santa Cruz as an economic reference on the island.”

Details of the Consultancy Service

On her part, the Executive Councillor of the Society of Development, Carmen Pérez, explained that “the Point of Sale Diagnosis service is free and includes visits from accredited consultants to participating establishments, who will assess key aspects such as window display, interior design, sales techniques, digital marketing, and sustainability.” She added that “this methodology will generate individualised action plans to help each business strengthen its positioning and improve its customer relationships.”

Thus, Pérez informed that “the registration period for the consultancy service Point of Sale Diagnosis (DPV) will remain open until the 120 participants are filled,” adding that interested companies only need to complete the registration form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSemZa-FqJuiaSLyWhaYTKwOFwtgvwUErj3EtWlTssLW9SumWA/viewform.

Comprehensive Benefits for Participants

The point of sale diagnosis will be carried out at the respective establishment on the days and times set by each retailer, with a team of consultants conducting a thorough study,” explained Pérez, who added that “among the benefits that participating businesses will receive are a detailed and personalised diagnosis of their point of sale, identifying strengths and weaknesses in five key dimensions: window display, interior design, sales techniques, digital marketing, and sustainability; as well as individualised action plans highlighting areas for improvement, along with strengths and weaknesses of the point of sale.”

Furthermore, Pérez emphasised that “they will also receive personalised support during the implementation of the proposed improvements, including technical tutoring and on-site or remote assistance; a visual improvement package tailored to the specific needs of each business; access to StratIA, a virtual consultant based on Artificial Intelligence available 24/7, which will complement the consultancy; a specialised training programme in the five key dimensions of the diagnosis; and the provision of accredited diplomas upon completion of the diagnosis and action plan process.”

Finally, the Executive Councillor reminded that “the Point of Sale Diagnosis reflects our goal of having a more innovative, sustainable, and digitalised commerce,” and added that “we encourage all businesses to register, as this is a free opportunity that will strengthen the business fabric of Santa Cruz.”

The Point of Sale Diagnosis service is part of the Transformation Plan for the Commerce of the Rambla and Salamanca Commercial Areas, within the framework of grants aimed at boosting the modernisation of the commercial sector in Canarias.

This initiative seeks to position Canarias as a Smart Commercial Destination and is co-financed by the European Union through the FEDER Canarias 2021-2027 Programme.
