The Lanzarote Socialist Party wishes to publicly express its gratitude to Hugo Delgado for his commitment, dedication, and responsibility over the past years, both during his term as a councillor in the previous legislature and in the current one, where he was part of the candidacy led by María Dolores Corujo.
Following the recent resignation of Andrés Stinga as councillor, it was expected that Hugo Delgado would join the Socialist Group in the Cabildo. However, personal and professional reasons prevent him from assuming this role at this time—a decision the party respects and fully understands, which in no way diminishes the value of his ongoing commitment to the socialist project and the citizens of Lanzarote and La Graciosa.

The General Secretary of the PSOE in Lanzarote and Member of Parliament, María Dolores Corujo, publicly highlighted his contributions: “Hugo is an example of commitment, loyalty, and indispensable but discreet work. His role as a councillor was fundamental in promoting progressive policies from the Cabildo, and in this legislature, he has continued to support, from the socialist candidacy, the principles we advocate for Lanzarote and La Graciosa. I can only express my gratitude for all he has contributed and will continue to contribute.”
Hugo Delgado’s Gratitude
For his part, Hugo Delgado also wanted to convey his words of gratitude to the party and its island secretary: “I want to thank the Lanzarote Socialist Party and María Dolores Corujo for the trust they have always placed in me. It has been an honour to be part of this political project and to contribute, from various responsibilities, to the progress of our land. I will always be grateful for the opportunity and the affection received.”
The PSOE of Lanzarote thus expresses its appreciation for Hugo Delgado’s trajectory, his generosity, and his constant commitment, wishing him the utmost success in the personal and professional projects he decides to embark on from now on.
