The Argentine singer-songwriter takes audiences on a journey through all eras of his musical career. His artistry and stage presence captivated an enthusiastic crowd, who bid farewell to the performance with thunderous applause.
Coti sings what he writes, accompanied by five musicians, forming a six-member band that delivers a spectacular live show—raw and unfiltered, without the slick studio sounds. This is the natural sound of Coti, who enlivened the square in Yaiza on Monday, closing the patron saint festivities of Los Remedios, immersing the audience in a musical odyssey through all periods of his successful career.
The Argentine artist landed in Yaiza amid a gruelling European tour that, at the start of September alone, took him to London, Dublin, and Amsterdam. Additionally, from the south of Lanzarote, he headed straight to Valencia. Yet, these demanding schedules do little to dampen his spirit. Coti not only captivated the Yaiza audience from the outset but also invited members of the public to share the stage with him, making both women and men who dared to join him key players in a night filled with artistry and energy.
He concluded his performance to the chants of “otra, otra, otra” with the hit ‘Nada fue un error’. But before that, the sounds and emotions of about twenty of his songs had vibrated through the square, heralding the forthcoming fireworks display. Coti performed with his guitar, stepped up to the keyboard, and also showcased a couple of solo acoustic numbers for a more intimate moment.
In addition to delivering high-energy tracks like ‘Antes que ver el sol’, he showcased his ability to delve into personal lyrics that reflect hard moments from his past, including times when he had to survive by writing songs for others, as depicted in ‘Color esperanza’, which also resonated in Yaiza.
The audience in Lanzarote thoroughly enjoyed the concert, and Coti expressed his gratitude for the warmth and admiration shown. Reflecting on the emotional experience after two hours, he shared a message of thanks in a reel posted by the Town Hall of Yaiza: “I am very moved by a beautiful night with such special energy. We lived it with great intensity. It was a very magical night, and I want to thank all of Yaiza and Lanzarote for fully engaging in the concert.” Coti’s performance served as a spectacular culmination of the Remedios festivities.
