Worker Seriously Injured in Fall from Roof in Guía de Isora

A 37-year-old man was admitted to the University Hospital Nuestra Señora de Candelaria in serious condition on Wednesday after falling from a height of approximately six metres while working on a roof. The incident occurred at 09:54 hours on the access road to Jaral, in the municipality of Guía de Isora.

The Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1 1 2 of the Canary Islands Government received an alert reporting that an individual had fallen into a ravine. Emergency resources were promptly activated.

Multiple units from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) were dispatched to the scene, including a basic life support ambulance, a sanitised ambulance, and a medicalised ambulance. Medical personnel assessed and stabilised the injured man, who sustained several serious trauma injuries. Once prepared, he was transported by medicalised ambulance to the University Hospital Nuestra Señora de Candelaria.

In addition to the SUC, local police and the Civil Guard also attended the scene to carry out the necessary investigations.
