Tenerife Firefighters Respond to Multiple Incidents across Granadilla de Abona and La Orotava

Tenerife Firefighters based in San Miguel de Abona were activated early this morning by the Emergency Coordination Centre at 112 to extinguish a fire in a vehicle parked on Santa María de la Cabeza street, Granadilla de Abona. The flames began to spread to two other vehicles, prompting firefighters to cool them down to prevent further damage. The Local Police also intervened.

Incident in La Orotava

In La Orotava, local firefighters responded at around 22:00 to a fire in the junction box of a streetlight in Benijos, with the presence of the Local Police.

Field Fire in San Isidro

Meanwhile, personnel from San Miguel de Abona tackled a brush fire yesterday at approximately 16:00 outside an agricultural cooperative in San Isidro, Granadilla de Abona, with assistance from the Local Police.

Loose Cornice Hazard

Finally, firefighters from Santa Cruz de Tenerife were called by the Local Police around 14:00 to secure and remove the upper part of a loose cornice that posed a threat of falling onto the Avenida de la Asunción.
