Critical Condition Following Cardiac Arrest on Tenerife Bus

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 14 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) – A 64-year-old man has been transferred to hospital in critical condition after suffering a cardiac arrest on a bus travelling south along the TF-1, near the municipality of El Rosario, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 1-1-2.

Incident Details

The incident occurred at approximately 22:55, when the 1-1-2 operations room received an alert regarding the situation, prompting Cecoes to immediately activate emergency resources to respond to the scene.

Medical Response

Upon arrival, personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service confirmed that the individual was in cardiac arrest and that the bus driver was performing resuscitation efforts. They proceeded with advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques, successfully restoring his pulse.

Once stabilised, the man was transported in a critical state by a medical ambulance to the University Hospital of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria.

Assistance at the Scene

Meanwhile, the Civil Guard secured the area and assisted the emergency resources deployed to the location.
