The incident occurred at 11:59 hours. According to the Emergency Coordination Centre (CECOES) 112, the swimmer was rescued from the water by a recreational boat.

A person on the vessel, who identified themselves as a nurse, administered first aid while she was being transported to Marina Rubicón port.

Once on land, personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) attended to the victim and evacuated her by ambulance to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife. The patient was reported to have experienced moderate drowning symptoms, barring any complications.

Two ambulances from the SUC, the Civil Guard, local police, and members of the Lanzarote Security, Emergency and Rescue Consortium were involved in the operation.
