SUC Responds to Three Injured in Head-On Collision in Pájara

According to data provided by 112 Canarias: The SUC attends to three individuals injured in a head-on collision between two vehicles in Pájara.

Assessment of the affected individuals provided by the SUC:

  • A woman who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented serious multiple injuries, was transferred by medical helicopter from the SUC to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura.
  • A minor who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented moderate injuries, was transported by basic life support ambulance initially to the health centre and from there via a medicalised ambulance to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura.
  • A woman who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented moderate chest trauma, was transferred by a basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura.

Services activated by CECOES 1 1 2:

  • Canary Emergency Service (SUC): two basic life support ambulances, one medicalised ambulance, and one medicalised helicopter
  • Pájara Fire Brigade
  • Guardia Civil

Observations:

  • At the above-mentioned time, the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 112 of the Canary Government received a call reporting a head-on collision between two vehicles, whose occupants required medical assistance.
  • The 1 1 2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
  • Firefighters rescued a woman from inside the vehicle who presented severe injuries. After being assisted by the SUC and once stabilized, she was transferred by medical helicopter to the aforementioned hospital.
  • Personnel from the SUC ambulances assisted a minor and another woman with moderate injuries.
  • The Guardia Civil regulated traffic on the road and carried out the corresponding procedures.
  • The SUC attended to three individuals injured in a head-on collision between two vehicles in Pájara.
