The Cabildo Promotes Training Internships with the Becas América Project

Director Pedro González highlights that the application period for the allocation of ten new grants will remain open until 15 October 2025

The Cabildo of Tenerife, through its Department of External Action and Institutional Relations, is advancing training internships with the Becas América project.

The Official Bulletin of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has published the call for applications for the allocation of up to 10 grants for conducting non-labour training internships abroad as part of the Becas América project for its 2025 edition. The application period is open from 16 September 2025 to 15 October 2025, both dates included.

Pedro González, the insular director of External Action and Institutional Relations, stated, “We have managed not only to consolidate the Becas América programme initiated during this term, but also to significantly expand it. This way, we achieve the dual objective of training residents of Tenerife regionally and, on the other hand, establishing ambassadors for our island in various countries, thereby strengthening our international relations.”

About the Becas América Project

The Becas América project is an initiative driven by the Cabildo of Tenerife and the Insular Canary Foundation for Training, Employment and Business Development (Fidede). Its goal is to promote the internationalisation of Tenerife’s economy by facilitating knowledge and experience acquisition for graduates residing on the island through non-labour training internships abroad in collaborating entities located on the American continent. These could include public entities, private companies, or Third Sector organisations.
