The Pájara School of Music and Dance has commenced the 2025/2026 academic year fully enrolled, with over 200 registrations across various offered specialisations. The students, divided into classical music, folklore, and dance areas, have already begun their theoretical and practical activities, kicking off a course that will be characterised by learning, participation, and cultural dissemination.

The Councillor for Culture, Ángeles Acosta, emphasises that “this centre is a space for intergenerational interaction where tradition and artistic innovation coexist.” “The Town Hall continues to work to ensure quality education and to bring music and dance closer to all residents of the municipality,” she asserts.
New Specialisations Offered
Among the new features of this academic year is the introduction of a folklore singing specialisation, which broadens the educational offering and strengthens the preservation of Canary Island cultural heritage.
“We are very pleased with the overwhelming response to enrolment this year. Having all places filled motivates us to continue working to provide quality teaching that combines technique, creativity, and enjoyment of music and dance,” state the school’s management.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Pájara, Alejandro Jorge, affirms that “the true success of the School is due to the commitment of its teaching staff and management team, who work diligently to advance each project. The Town Hall will maintain our steadfast support, as has been done for many years.”
The School, managed by the Pájara Municipal Band Association in collaboration with the Pájara Town Hall, will continue to develop various activities and public auditions throughout the academic year, aiming to showcase the work accomplished in the classrooms and reinforce its role as a cultural driving force within the municipality.
