The Cabildo Urges the State to Co-Finance Projects in the Upcoming Municipal Cooperation Plan
The island institution has agreed in a Plenary Commission that the Government co-finance projects related to water supply and sanitation, which will be included in the upcoming Island Cooperation Plan, while promoting active participation from all municipalities on the island in its development.
The Cabildo of Tenerife has decided in today’s Plenary Commission (Thursday 18) to urge the Government to co-finance projects related to water supply and sanitation, which will be part of the upcoming Island Cooperation Plan. This initiative aims to address the existing deficit in these essential infrastructures in collaboration with the municipalities and the Cabildo.
The agreement, supported by all political parties present in the Commission, includes the Cabildo promoting active participation from all municipalities on the island. This will be facilitated through the organisation of bilateral meetings with the town councils, where they will present their proposals.
The approved proposal reflects the island institution’s commitment to promoting the new Plan through dialogue and consensus well in advance, thereby ensuring the continuity and effectiveness of the projects contained within it.
Cooperation Plans are vital tools that support municipalities in securing strategic investments in essential infrastructure and high-quality public services.
