The Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium intervened on Thursday afternoon in a complex collaboration with the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) in Arrecife.

According to the island agency, the incident occurred on Agustín Espinosa street when the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) activated firefighters to assist a patient who needed to be transferred to a hospital.

The SUC paramedics, already on site, requested the assistance of firefighters due to the challenges in evacuating the patient from their residence located on the third floor.

To successfully complete the operation, a hydraulic aerial platform was employed, which allowed the safe mobilisation of the affected individual and their transport to the waiting ambulance on the street.

Once secured on the stretcher and lowered to the street, the patient was handed over to the medical teams, who transported them to the hospital for further care.
