The Town Hall held a ceremony at La Recova to present the first honorary medals of this term. The recipients included the Arrecife Civil Protection Group, Local Police Officer and Technical Coordinator of Civil Protection, Marcos Antonio Rosario Galindo, and the agent and head of the group, Osbaldo Espino Delgado.
The Mayor, Yonathan de León, emphasised the modernisation of emergency services and expressed gratitude for the sacrifices made by volunteers and their families. The councillor for Security and Emergencies, Kevin Cortés, highlighted the prestige of the group and announced new investments in resources and training.
The institutional event was accompanied by live music and drew a significant presence of civil and military authorities from Lanzarote.
