An EasyJet flight operating the route from Nantes to Lanzarote on 16 September was marked by the death of a passenger during the journey. The incident occurred during the approach to César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport when the crew detected the emergency and promptly notified airport authorities.

The aircraft landed safely after emergency protocols were activated, and medical services intervened immediately; however, they were unable to save the traveller’s life.

EasyJet confirmed the death in an official statement, highlighting that the crew acted in accordance with in-flight medical attention protocols. The company expressed its condolences to the family and friends of the passenger, whose identity has not been revealed.

The incident caused a significant delay for the return flight to Nantes, which was scheduled to land around 14:45 but did not arrive until after 23:00, affecting dozens of passengers.
