Coalición Canaria Condemns PSOE’s Alarmist Claims Over Seed Distribution Incident

Coalición Canaria Criticises PSOE’s Actions Over Seed Distribution

Coalición Canaria (CC) has issued a warning to the public regarding the extremely serious actions taken by the Socialist Party (PSOE) concerning the Cabildo’s management of seed distribution from the Agricultural Experimental Farm. According to the secretary general of the Lanzarote nationalists, Pedro San Ginés, this is not an isolated incident, but rather a further indication of an organisation that seems to have no ethical or moral boundaries in its efforts to politically undermine others.

Allegations of Public Health Risks

In a press release sent to this newspaper, CC explained that the PSOE has once again engaged in a highly serious episode, unnecessarily alarming the public by falsely accusing the Cabildo of Lanzarote of jeopardising public health due to a simple administrative error in seed distribution at the Agricultural Experimental Farm. This mistake was promptly identified and rectified by the responsible technicians, ensuring that the safety of both citizens and farmers was maintained at all times.

Politicising the Situation

However, they highlight that the current Socialist leadership, as is often the case, raised alarm bells by stating that “the island is in a state of extreme seriousness for public health.”

Pedro San Ginés has been unequivocal in his response: “This is not the first time that the Socialist Party has disregarded the honour, honesty, and integrity of public workers in order to construct a partisan narrative. What the PSOE has done is very serious; it has crossed all red lines, and we cannot allow politics in Lanzarote to sink to this level of unscrupulousness.”

The Call for Responsible Politics

San Ginés insists that politics should be about finding solutions, not instilling fear. “Enough is enough. What lies ahead until 2027, if we continue this way, is a scenario where every human error will be weaponised politically, trampling over officials and technicians to create headlines, regardless of the harm caused to citizens or the professionals who work diligently. We will not allow this. I call upon the responsible faction of the PSOE to put an end to this absurdity,” emphasises the CC leader.

Trust in Institutions

CC stresses that this incident is merely another example of the practices the PSOE has accustomed the public to, warning that such behaviour erodes trust in institutions and in those who work within them with diligence and professionalism. “Politics must be about responsibility, respect, and working for the common good. We cannot endlessly expend our energy on absurdities like this,” concludes San Ginés.
