A dramatic traffic accident occurred on the night of Monday, 1st September, fortunately resulting in no injuries. According to the Lanzarote Consortium for Security and Emergencies, shortly after ten o’clock in the evening, the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) received a report of a vehicle overturning on the LZ-409 road, between Tiagua and Mancha Blanca.
Upon arrival, the emergency teams found the vehicle overturned on its roof in the middle of the road. Its sole occupant was already outside the car and appeared to be in good health, so there was no need for medical intervention.
The Guardia Civil was also present at the scene, securing the area while firefighters from the Central Park, mobilised with unit Bravo 4, worked to remove the car. Upon the agents’ request, the vehicle was turned and relocated off the roadway to restore normal traffic flow.
The operation, classified as level 1, concluded shortly thereafter with the road cleared and no further incidents to report.
