Temperatures of up to 35 degrees are expected in Gran Canaria and 34 in La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and Tenerife.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued yellow warnings for heat and coastal phenomena this Monday and Tuesday in the Canary Islands.

On Monday,

Gran Canaria is expected to reach 35 degrees in the mountains, leading to a risk or yellow warning. The south and west are expected to experience temperatures of up to 34 degrees.

The mountains of La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro and the east, south and west of Tenerife will also be under yellow warning with temperatures that could reach 34 degrees.

Additionally, there will be a yellow warning for coastal phenomena in the east, south and west of Gran Canaria; the east of La Palma; La Gomera; El Hierro; and the east, south and west of Tenerife.

La Gomera will be under a yellow warning due to gusts of wind of up to 70 kilometres per hour.

On Tuesday,

the east, south and west of Gran Canaria will remain under yellow warning for heat with temperatures of up to 34 degrees.

There will be a yellow warning for coastal phenomena in the east, south and west of Gran Canaria; the east of La Palma; La Gomera; El Hierro; and the east, south and west of Tenerife.

La Gomera will again be under a yellow warning due to gusts of wind of up to 70 kilometres per hour.
