Alejandro Fernández brings a grand finale to the Fiestas de San Ginés 2025 in Arrecife
70,000 people enjoy a historic concert at El Reducto
Arrecife experienced an epic conclusion to its patron celebrations in honour of San Ginés on Monday, 25 August 2025. Mexican singer Alejandro Fernández delivered an unforgettable concert at the Playa de El Reducto, attended by approximately 70,000 people, and concluded with a spectacular fireworks display.









The event marked the end of celebrations organised by the Arrecife City Council, which this year established itself as one of the most considerable and dazzling in the Canary Islands.
Institutional Evaluation
The Mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, described the evening as “epic” and highlighted the massive turnout:
“We have never seen El Reducto beach so packed. With this level of quality, we solidify the Sangineles as a celebration worthy of being the third capital of the Canary Islands.”
Meanwhile, the Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Fiestas, Echedey Eugenio, emphasised the success of the festive programme, which for the third consecutive year has gathered thousands of people:
“We have reclaimed the traditional essence of our fiestas, adapting them to the city we are today and restoring our Marina as a meeting point.”
The Councillor for Tourism, Commerce, and Sports, Eli Merino, highlighted the concert’s tourist impact:
“Alejandro Fernández closed his tour of Spain in Arrecife, positioning our capital and Lanzarote among the destinations that blend tourism, culture, and leisure.”
Alejandro Fernández Conquers Arrecife
Known as El Potrillo, Fernández showcased his unmistakable voice and charisma for over two hours. The audience sang along to his greatest hits, including Me dediqué a perderte, Como quien pierde una estrella, and Abrázame. The rancheras such as Mujeres divinas and El Rey drew enthusiastic cheers from the crowd, especially when the artist appeared dressed in charro attire.
With over 30 years in the industry, 35 million records sold, and an established international career, Alejandro Fernández demonstrated why he is one of the most beloved voices in Latin music.
Historic Celebrations
The Arrecife City Council expressed gratitude for the efforts of all municipal departments, security forces, health services, and workers who made the Fiestas de San Ginés 2025 a historic occasion, marked by the quality of the events and community involvement.
The closing performance by Alejandro Fernández and the fireworks sealed celebrations that, in addition to tradition, also offered tourist and economic visibility to the capital of Lanzarote.
