Temperatures Set to Exceed 30 Degrees Across Much of the Island
This weekend promises summer-like conditions as the trade winds that have lingered over the past few days begin to ease from Saturday. Temperatures will rise, making for a very summery and beach-friendly weekend on the island.
On Saturday, winds will continue from the north but with significantly reduced intensity compared to recent days. However, on Sunday, the wind will shift to the east, influenced more by the Saharan ridge, resulting in higher temperatures, though not quite reaching August’s extremes. From Monday onwards, the arrival of calima is anticipated.
Sea strength will diminish, but caution is advised in the areas facing west and north of the island.
Tides of El Pino
On Monday, 8th September, the Feast Day of the Virgin of El Pino, Patroness of Gran Canaria, one of the highest tides of the year will occur, registering a coefficient of 107. Throughout the weekend, tide levels will vary significantly.
