The Lanzarote Councilor, Andrés Stinga Perdomo, has formally submitted his resignation due to personal reasons, concluding over two decades of dedication to public life.
Stinga began his political career in 1999, serving in both the San Bartolomé City Council and the island’s Cabildo. In his statement, he expressed “my sincerest gratitude to the public workers I’ve encountered, always willing, professional, and collaborative.”
He also expressed his gratitude to the residents of Lanzarote “for the opportunity to serve the general interests of this island,” and highlighted the cordiality maintained with both party colleagues and political opponents.
The former councilor further emphasised the unconditional support of his family throughout these years, stating, “without which political activity would not have been possible.”
Stinga assures that he is now embarking on a new personal and professional phase, although his commitment to serving Lanzarote will remain unchanged.
