Man Arrested After Violent Assault on Woman in Tenerife
The Guardia Civil has arrested a man after he entered a property in Guargacho, a locality in the Tenerife municipality of San Miguel de Abona, following an assault and forced entry against a woman present in the home.
The incident took place several months ago, leading to the indictment of a 19-year-old male as a suspected perpetrator of a robbery with violence in attempted form. The second assailant has yet to be located.
The Assault
The attack occurred in broad daylight, when the victim heard the doorbell and went to see who was calling.
She was immediately and violently assaulted by two men with their faces covered. One restrained her by force using significant violence, while the other entered the property. Ultimately, the assailants decided to flee the scene without completing the theft, thanks to the screams of the victim.
Police Investigation
Following a complex investigation and analysis of security camera footage, the Guardia Civil, led by the Criminal Investigation Unit of Granadilla de Abona, successfully identified, located, and arrested one of the suspected assailants.
The arrested individual has been placed at the disposal of the Granadilla de Abona Court of Instruction, along with the evidence collected. The investigation remains open to locate the second suspect involved in this incident.
