The south of Tenerife is preparing for a new and vibrant edition of the Black Sound Costa Adeje festival, an annual celebration of the best black music, set to take place on 26th and 27th September at the Plaza Salytien. Sponsored by the Town Hall of Adeje, this event has established itself as one of the most important cultural happenings in the Canary Islands, drawing in enthusiasts of soul, funk, gospel, and related genres.
This year, the festival will focus on the influence of Afro music in Europe, particularly in the United Kingdom, a hub of talent and emerging sounds. The programme for this fifth edition perfectly balances local talent with prestigious international figures, offering an impressive lineup for attendees.
International and National Artists
The lineup for Black Sound 2025 features artists such as the Nigerian Attih Soul, known for his solid international career; the British Clayton Campbell, a vocalist with deep roots in gospel and jazz; the versatile Sandra Tangerina, with her powerful voice in soul and R&B; and the Spanish artist Marisa Tolentino, renowned for her collaborations with music greats like David Bisbal, Raphael, and Pitingo.
Joining them will be the BSBand, the festival’s resident ensemble led by Sergio “DiEbony” Cebrián, a key figure in soul and funk in Spain. Additionally, local talent Ainoha Aguilar will serve as the master of ceremonies over the two days.
