The soul, funk, and gospel festival returns for its fifth edition on 26th and 27th September at Plaza Salytien, featuring prominent performances by Attih Soul and Clayton Campbell.
The municipality of Adeje will once again become a key meeting point for fans of what is known as black music and its various fusions with a new edition of the Black Sound Costa Adeje festival, set to take place on 26th and 27th September at the Plaza Salytien in the southern region.
With an annual programme, the southern municipality is preparing for two unique evenings where soul, funk, gospel, and other fusions will once again energise and diversify the southern coast of Tenerife. The festival is sponsored by the Adeje Town Hall and the Department of Culture.
Following four successful editions, the event returns with a lineup that integrates local talent with internationally acclaimed artists, establishing itself as a cultural reference point in the Canary Islands. This year, the festival will highlight the influence of Afro music in Europe, particularly focusing on the United Kingdom as the epicentre of this movement due to the influx of artists and sounds from Africa, the Caribbean, and America.
The Black Sound 2025 lineup features notable names such as Attih Soul, a Nigerian singer with a solid international career; Clayton Campbell, a British vocalist with roots in gospel and jazz; Sandra Tangerina, a versatile performer with a powerful voice in soul and R&B; and Marisa Tolentino, a Spanish singer who has collaborated with artists like Raphael, Pitingo, and David Bisbal.
They will be joined by the BSBand, the festival’s resident group led by Sergio “DiEbony” Cebrián, a significant figure in Spain’s funk and soul scene, along with Adeje’s Ainoha Aguilar, who will serve as the master of ceremonies during both days of the festival.
The performance schedule is as follows: Friday, 26th: Ainoha Aguilar, Sandra Tangerina, and Clayton Campbell; Saturday, 27th: Ainoha Aguilar, Attih Soul, and Marisa Tolentino.
The festival maintains its free entry policy, providing access to a diverse and high-quality cultural offering for both residents and visitors. Moreover, it aims to invigorate public spaces in the municipality, encourage citizen participation, and strengthen the bond between cultures through dialogue, music, and coexistence.
