The Cabildo modernises the gym in La Laguna Tenerife at the Santiago Martín Pavilion

This training space, now equipped with air conditioning, has been fitted with new machinery and sporting equipment available for players to use

The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the public company Ideco, has completed the installation of air conditioning in the changing room and gym of La Laguna Tenerife at the Santiago Martín Pavilion. The facility has also been outfitted with new sports machinery for strength training, muscle development, and cardiovascular exercise.

These enhancements are complemented by improvements on the court area, including new LED-lit backboards featuring two shot clocks approved by both the ACB and FIBA. These elements function as both electronic scoreboards and advertising displays.

The Chief Councillor for Sports, Yolanda Moliné, emphasised that “we have taken advantage of the summer and the league break to enhance the comfort of the players, who can now make use of a renovated gym and changing room before the start of the 2025-2026 season.”

Meanwhile, the president of CB Canarias, Aniano Cabrera, remarked, “Anything that helps improve our working conditions is welcome. We are very pleased with these improvements, which were very much needed and have been in collaboration for some time. We are grateful for the effort made by the Cabildo de Tenerife.”
