The airports in the Canary Islands will operate a total of 5,059 flights during the August bank holiday, specifically from this Thursday, 14 August, to Sunday, 17 August. Of these, a total of 1,863 will be international flights.
Thus, in 2025, operations are increasing compared to 2024, when the Canary Islands airports recorded a total of 4,883 flights during the August bank holiday.
According to data provided by Aena to Europa Press, 938 flights will pass through Tenerife North Airport; 849 flights through Tenerife South, and 846 and 618 flights through Lanzarote and Fuerteventura airports, respectively.
Meanwhile, Gran Canaria Airport will handle 1,414 flights, while El Hierro, La Gomera and La Palma will operate 84, 32 and 278 flights, respectively.
By day, the busiest day will be this Thursday, 14 August, when the Canary Islands airports are expected to operate a total of 1,300 flights.
