A car caught fire on the TF-5 at the height of Naranjeros in Tacoronte, heading towards Santa Cruz. There were no injuries, but the incident is causing significant traffic delays on the motorway.

The alert was received at 12:22 on Friday, 29 August, according to reports from the 112 Emergency Services. Fortunately, there were no personal injuries “as the individual was able to exit the vehicle unaided,” they explained.

In addition to the Tenerife Fire Brigade, the Civil Guard and road maintenance personnel have arrived at the scene. Emergency services are urging the public to exercise extreme caution.
