The phenomenon of cars overturning is becoming increasingly common. Fortunately, perhaps due to the safety systems fitted in modern vehicles or sheer luck for those involved, most incidents result in no serious consequences. This was not the case for an accident on Monday afternoon, when a car overturned while travelling along the LZ-201 road in the municipality of Haría.
At 16:16, according to the Cabildo’s Consortium for Safety and Emergencies, firefighters received a call to head north on the island due to an accident, with reports that individuals might be trapped inside the vehicle. Upon their arrival, the firefighters found agents from the Civil Guard and personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) at the scene.

They were informed that the two individuals travelling in the overturned vehicle were already receiving medical attention, although details regarding the nature and severity of their injuries were not specified. They were being transferred by ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife for further evaluation.
The Civil Guard instructed firefighters to secure the area until the arrival of the recovery vehicle, which ultimately removed the overturned car.
