A migrant boat arrived at the port of La Restinga in El Hierro on Saturday morning, carrying a total of 64 individuals, according to the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 112.
The health services present in the area, including the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC), Primary Care, and Red Cross, provided assistance to the migrants. Two were required to be transferred to hospital facilities.
One of the affected individuals suffered from severe dehydration and was evacuated in critical condition by a medical helicopter from the SUC to the Hospital Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria in Tenerife.
