CIVIC-MILITARY PROCESSION featuring the Royal Standard of the Island of Tenerife will proceed from the Town Hall to the Holy Cathedral Church, attended by the highest civil, military, and consular authorities.

In the Cathedral Square, there will be a reception for the Most Excellent Mr. Julio Salom Herreras, Lieutenant General Chief of the Canary Islands Command of the Army, who will represent HIS MAJESTY KING FELIPE VI OF SPAIN, PERPETUAL HONORARY SLAVE. He will be greeted by civil, military, and consular authorities, followed by the Major Slave, Eladio Alexis Díaz Marrero, who will present him with the silver staff of the Pontifical, Royal, and Venerable Slavery.
At the entrance of the Cathedral, His Majesty’s representative, as Honorary and Perpetual Slave, accompanied by the Major Slave, will be received by the Most Excellent and Reverend Mr. Eloy Alberto Santiago Santiago, Bishop of the Diocese of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, along with the prestigious Cathedral Chapter and the Dean of the Holy Cathedral Church of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Following this, the SOLEMN CELEBRATION OF THE EUCHARIST will commence, presided over by the Most Excellent and Reverend Mr. Eloy Alberto Santiago Santiago, with preaching by the Most Excellent and Reverend Mr. Julián Barrio Barrio, Emeritus Archbishop of Santiago de Compostela.
The liturgical-musical accompaniment for this solemn Eucharistic Celebration will be provided, as is tradition for over a century, by the Choir of the Orfeón La Paz.
Upon completion, there will be a solemn RETURN PROCESSION of the Venerated Image of the Holy Christ of La Laguna to its Royal Sanctuary, accompanied by the representative of His Majesty the King; the Most Excellent and Reverend Mr. Bishop of the Diocese of San Cristóbal de La Laguna; the Most Excellent and Reverend Emeritus Bishop of Santiago de Compostela; the Cathedral Chapter; diocesan priests and the Cathedral Chapter of Gran Canaria; the esteemed Municipal Corporation of San Cristóbal de La Laguna; the esteemed Cabildo Insular of Tenerife; esteemed members of the Canary Islands Government Council; military authorities, as well as representatives of the Consular Corps, along with the Pontifical Royal and Venerable Slavery of the Most Holy Christ of La Laguna.
CULTS IN THE ROYAL SANCTUARY OF THE HOLY CHRIST OF LA LAGUNA

EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATION MARKING THE BEGINNING OF THE OCTAVE. A mass in the courtyard preceding the Royal Sanctuary, presided over by the Most Illustrious Mr. Norberto Carlos Hernández Delgado, parish priest of Santa María de Gracia and canon of the S.I. Cathedral.
The liturgical-musical accompaniment for the Holy Mass will be provided by the “Achamán Musical Group”, under the direction of Mr. Héctor González.
Following this, there will be a PROCESSION of the Venerated Image through the main streets of the City, visiting the convents of the Clarisas and Catalinas nuns. Upon reaching the Plaza del Cristo, the Image will be positioned to view the firework display of the “Fires of the Entrance or the Risco”.
