Collaboration Strengthened Ahead of AFRICAGUA CANARIAS 2025
The President of the Fuerteventura Chamber of Commerce, Juan Jesús Rodríguez Marichal, met today with the Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal in Spain, Ibrahima Al Khalil Seck, at the Embassy in Madrid. The meeting aimed to strengthen institutional and business collaboration between the two regions in the context of AFRICAGUA CANARIAS 2025, an international forum on water and renewable energy taking place on 20th and 21st November in Fuerteventura.
During the discussion, various opportunities for cooperation in water management, clean energy, and sustainable development were explored, emphasising Senegal’s importance as a strategic partner for the Canary Islands in these areas. Furthermore, the active participation of Senegalese institutions and businesses in the upcoming forum edition was addressed.
AFRICAGUA CANARIAS 2025, organised by the Fuerteventura Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Government of the Canary Islands and the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, with support from multilateral organisations, has established itself as a leading international platform for dialogue and cooperation among Africa, Europe, and the Americas concerning the challenges and opportunities related to water and renewable energy.
Through this meeting, the Fuerteventura Chamber of Commerce and the Senegalese Embassy are reaffirming their commitment to promoting partnerships that enhance sustainable development and the internationalisation of businesses.
