Coalición Canaria de Lanzarote Opens New Political Course with Determination
Coalición Canaria de Lanzarote has embarked on the new political season with confidence and a commitment to lead the island’s future. Under the leadership of Pedro San Ginés, local committees and the Organisation of Young Nationalists of Lanzarote will renew their executive teams within a mere two weeks. This process reflects internal cohesion, democratic strength, and an organisational ability that distinguishes them in the island’s political landscape.
Renewal Process Timeline
The roadmap established by the new island executive sets the renewal process in Arrecife to commence on 11th September, followed by Teguise on 18th, Haría on 19th, San Bartolomé on 20th, Tías on 23rd, Tinajo on 24th, Yaiza on 26th, and finally, the Organisation of Young Nationalists on 27th September.
Strengthening Leadership
San Ginés emphasises that “this is not just about renewing teams; it is about reinforcing our position wherever we lead various corporations or share governance, and establishing ourselves as a clear government alternative where we do not, as the party that brings the most stability, seriousness, and leadership in a time of political uncertainty.”
This renewal, which will be completed before the end of September, is not a mere formality but the starting point of a plan aimed at solidifying Coalición Canaria’s position as the most robust, serious, and credible project for Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
A Clear Alternative
In contrast to the improvisation of other political forces, the nationalists present themselves as a clear alternative with proven leadership, capable of addressing the real needs of citizens and projecting a sustainable model for the island’s future.
Open Assemblies for Engagement
Furthermore, the new local leadership will initiate their journey by hosting open assemblies for the public in all municipalities. These meetings will feature Oswaldo Betancort, President of the Cabildo; David Toledo, President of the Canary Nationalist Group in Parliament and National Organisation Secretary; and Pedro San Ginés, alongside other prominent island leaders like Samuel Martín, Deputy Secretary-General, Olivia Duque, Organisation Secretary, Abigail González, Deputy Secretary of Organisation, and Aroa Revelo, Deputy Secretary of Territorial Action, Municipal Coordination, and Organisation.
These will serve as direct dialogue spaces with citizens, where the government actions that Coalición Canaria is implementing in the Canary Islands, the Cabildo, and the municipalities it governs will be discussed, alongside the alternatives proposed in areas where the party has not yet gained the electorate’s trust.
Active Listening and Participation
The objective is clear: not only to inform but also to listen to residents, identify deficiencies, acknowledge mistakes, and transform social demands into political solutions.
This strategy of active listening and citizen participation will commence in October, with a specific meeting dedicated to the youth of Lanzarote.
“We are starting with strength, leadership, and certainty that we are the clear alternative for Lanzarote and La Graciosa,” states Pedro San Ginés. “Our roadmap is clear: to govern with rigor, listen with humility, and respond with determination.”
