Costa Teguise (CB La Villa) has commenced pre-season training across all club categories in anticipation of an exciting season ahead.
Positive Start to Pre-Season
The coach of the Autonomic First Division team, Hortofrutícola Lanzarote Costa Teguise, Federico Toledo, who will be assisted on the bench by Gonzalo Mejías, expressed that “the pre-season has started off perfectly, with everyone training exceptionally well, full of enthusiasm and motivation. We have a large turnout. We have the Interinsular LIIC team, made up of more experienced players who will strive to reclaim the title of the best team in Teguise, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura. There is also the under-22 team, consisting of eight or nine players, complemented by some Juniors of good quality. The Juniors born in 2008 are also training within the same group. Currently, around twenty players are participating, and it’s evident that they are eager to perform well and enjoy themselves.”
Club Objectives for the Season
Toledo continued, “This year’s objectives for the club are not particularly specific; we simply aim to reach the highest possible position by the end of the league and to work hard so that every team we face will have to struggle to win against us. We want to compete fiercely in every match, always having the chance to win. Last year, we managed to defeat Santa Cruz on their home ground, who ultimately finished second in the promotion phase, and we also won against Tacoronte, who ended up third, on their pitch. Our goal is to compete against anyone and be capable of beating any team in the league, whether at home or away. We will never dismiss any opportunity. We’re not seeking promotion; instead, we aim to finish as high as possible. This is a small club that is celebrating its tenth anniversary, so we will see what happens and what we can achieve. The important thing for this club is to learn, enjoy the game, and consistently develop the project of Costa Teguise,” concluded the Teguise coach.
Upcoming Competitions
Hortofrutícola Lanzarote Costa Teguise will kick off the competition in the Autonomic First Division on 18 October at 16:00 at the Ciudad Deportiva de Lanzarote, facing Viajes Insular Juventud Laguna. The second round, scheduled for 24 October, will feature the first Canary Island derby of the season against Aloe + Lanzarote Conejero at the same venue.
