SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 30 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Arrest of Young Man Following Violent Assault

The Civil Guard has arrested a 19-year-old man as one of the two hooded individuals who violently assaulted a woman in her home in Guargacho, within the municipality of San Miguel (Tenerife).

The Benemérita (Civil Guard) reported that the incident occurred several months ago in broad daylight. The victim responded to the doorbell and went outside to see who was calling, at which point she was violently attacked by two men concealing their faces.

One of the assailants restrained her using significant force while the other entered the property. However, thanks to the victim’s screams, both men ultimately decided to flee without completing the robbery.

In response to this incident, agents from the Granadilla de Abona Investigation Area analysed security camera footage and managed to identify, locate, and arrest one of the suspected perpetrators on charges of attempted robbery with violence.

The detained individual, along with the related evidence, has been placed at the disposal of the Granadilla de Abona Investigating Court.

Meanwhile, the investigation remains open to locate the second suspect involved in the incident.
